Very expensive charged me 26.00 to replace a 2 dollar signal light which I brought with. Other places just charged me ten and threw in the bulb. Will not return.
CONS: Expensive (??) - Again, I don't know car parts or labor costs as much so i put what we paid above. It seemed a little more spendy.
$241.00 (labor)
Total: $601.00 (w/o tax)
About two hours in on our road trip from Minneapolis to California our truck's battery started to do some weird things. We had it tested at O'Reily's and they told us we needed a new alternator. When we got to we were told we should do more extensive testing to make sure it wasn't a fuse or something less expensive. I wasn't a huge fan of this plan because we were pretty sure it was the alternator and more testing would take more time from our road trip plus would add on $70 to an already predictably expensive repair. We did it anyways though just to be sure but I wish we hadn't since we were right about it being the alternator.
Although they were cheaper they were unable to get the work done until the end of next week. Plus they weren't nearly as friendly and accommodating as Sanderson.
Lost a serpentine belt during a winter storm on way to Jackson. Was told they were busy but would get me in. Done in an hour and on my way. Great job
Sanderson - $360.00 (Parts including the serpentine belt)
I was having car trouble while on a road trip. We were in a hurry to get back on the road and Sanderson got us in right away in the morning. The staff was exceptional, helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend this company to anybody in need of quick service.
They weren't as forthcoming with help and the price they gave us was just a "rough" estimate which they predicted could go up to $800 depending on the labor and type of alternator. We didn't like that their rough estimation couldn't give us a more exact number like Sanderson could.
What we paid:
Replacement for an alternator on a 06 Toyota Tacoma prices from nearby competitors:
PROS: Very professional and friendly. -They go above and beyond to make sure they accommodate your every need. Since we were traveling across the county with two pets this was very helpful.
I was a bit put off by this place from the previous review but it was higher rated than the nearby places and one customer that was there assured us that we were in good hands. He couldn't have been more right.
Dave Syverson - $350.00 (w/o Serpentine belt replacement)
Fast- was able to get the job done in an hour and a half after they got the parts next morning
Dan and Ryan were very kind and even offered us a ride to a nearby pet friendly hotel which they researched for us to make sure they had rooms available. They were able to do the work relatively quick once the part came in next morning. They were a little pricey but I don't think they were anywhere near three times as much like the reviewer before stated (Although I don't know much about part costs so I'll list the work done and labor charges for the reader to determine that.)
So overall:
Mark and the team at Sanderson Auto were so helpful and friendly it made getting my car fixed a great experience. I wouldn't hope for car problems, but I have been driving around since picking up my car, thinking of other things I could have Mark take care of. Great communication on what was wrong with the car, up front about the repairs needed, and quick, thorough service. Thanks, gang!
Car Clinic - $585.00 (with Serpentine belt replacement)
Cross checking prices at other places turned up just as much:
